Yusuf Pathan, former India all-rounder, took to Twitter on Saturday to disclose that he has examined constructive for coronavirus. Earlier within the day, legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar had examined COVID-19 constructive. Yusuf was a part of the India Legends squad, captained by Tendulkar, throughout the recently-concluded Road Safety World Series T20 event. Yusuf mentioned he has gentle signs and is at the moment quarantining at residence whereas taking all of the precautions and drugs.  “I’ve tested positive for COVID-19 today with mild symptoms. Post the confirmation, I have quarantined myself at home and taking all the necessary precautions and medication required,” Yusuf tweeted.

“I would request those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest,” he added. 

Yusuf performed a key position within the closing of the Road Safety World Series, scoring an unbeaten 62 and choosing up two essential wickets.

The all-rounder from Baroda introduced his retirement from all types of the sport on February 26. 

Yusuf performed 57 One-Day Internationals and 22 Twenty20 Internationals for India. 

He was a part of the 2007 T20 World Cup successful squad as effectively the 2011 squad that went onto win the 50-over World Cup.

Yusuf scored 810 runs together with two centuries within the 50-over format whereas he has 236 runs at a powerful strike-rate of 146.58 within the shortest format of the sport.


Yusuf was a seasoned campaigned within the Indian Premier League (IPL). He performed 194 IPL video games and scored 3,204 runs and managed to choose up 42 wickets as effectively. 

In the franchise-based T20 event, he represented Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and SunRisers Hyderabad.
