Citing the federal government directives within the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police stated public celebrations and gatherings, congregations throughout upcoming festivals similar to Holi, Shab-e-Barat, Navaratri will not be allowed at public locations, parks, markets or non secular locations throughout Delhi and any individual discovered violating the directives shall be prosecuted in accordance with legislation.
“According to the directions of the Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety, in cases of drunken driving, red-light jumping, using a mobile phone while driving, dangerous driving and over-speeding, the driving licence will also be seized and be liable for suspension for a period of minimum three months,” the police officer stated.
Action may also be initiated towards the homeowners whose autos are discovered to be pushed by minors and unauthorised individuals performing stunts or driving with no licence, the officer added.
