India calls for free, open Indo Pacific, supports freedom of navigation: Rajnath Singh

India requires a free, open and inclusive order within the Indo Pacific, mentioned Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday, including that New Delhi helps freedom of navigation, overflight, and unimpeded commerce within the worldwide waterways together with the South China Sea.

During the digital tackle on the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Plus (ADMM-Plus), Singh asserted that maritime safety challenges are one other space of concern to India and it hopes that the Code of Conduct negotiations concerning the South China Sea will result in outcomes which might be in step with worldwide regulation.

“India calls for a free, open and inclusive order in the Indo-Pacific, based upon respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations, peaceful resolution of disputes through dialogue and adherence to international rules and laws,” he mentioned.
