Eid Al Adha: Pakistan repatriates 62 prisoners from Saudi Arabia on special flight

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has stated that the federal government was dedicated to assist Pakistani prisoners overseas and help of their repatriation.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, the prime minister stated that upon his directions, a particular flight introduced again 62 prisoners from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, forward of Eid Al Adha in Pakistan.

“On my instructions, funds were arranged and a special flight brought back 62 prisoners from KSA today, so they could be back with their families for Eid. Helping Pakistanis in prisons abroad and assisting in their return to Pakistan is my govt’s commitment to our people,” the prime minister posted.

Earlier on Tuesday, Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) Managing Director Dr Amer Sheikh acquired the freed individuals at Islamabad’s airport together with senior officers and Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OPHRD).
