Three labourers died on Saturday whereas they have been cleansing an underground tank which was used to retailer waste oil in a now-defunct chemical manufacturing unit in Ambernath city in Thane district of Maharashtra, fireplace officers stated.

The trio complained of suffocation after eradicating some waste, Ambernath Municipal Council’s chief fireplace officer Yashwant Nalawade stated.

He stated the labourers additionally complained of nausea and giddiness earlier than they collapsed contained in the tank this morning.

The males, hailing from suburban Govandi in Mumbai, are recognized as Bidresh Sahani (35), Dinesh Sahani (35) and Irshad (30).

They have been engaged within the cleansing work on the chemical unit since Thursday, Nalawade stated, including that the work was occurring with none supervision opposite to guidelines.
